A useful estimate needs more than one front-facing photo. Show the full structure, each side, the roof, the base, nearby property, and the complete route to the loading area.
Photograph the whole perimeter
Stand far enough back to show connections to fences, walls, trees, and utilities. Add close photos of damaged sections, anchors, and anything attached to the structure.
Measure what changes the work
Record length, width, and height. Measure the narrowest gate and note stairs, slopes, soft ground, or a long carry to the street.
Describe materials plainly
Say whether the structure is wood, metal, resin, masonry, or a mix. Note roofing, insulation, glass, wiring, plumbing, and a concrete base. Do not disturb unknown materials to identify them.
Confirm the responsibility split
Ask who handles permits, utility disconnection, concrete, contents, and final surface work. A demolition quote and a rebuild quote are different scopes.
